1. What excites you about working in healthcare?

I've always loved to help and care for people around me, with my passion being going the extra mile for people, the only way I can achieve this is to be a healthcare worker. So it's exciting to know working in healthcare will allow you to reach your desire to help others, while earning a wage.

2. How did you find the induction training with First City?

The induction was indeed a loaded one. The instructors were both knowledgeable and can teach well. It was an impactful session and I really enjoyed my time then. To be honest all segments were taught well, but the training on using different hoists helped me to handle the equipment when I got into the residents home.

3. How has your introduction to the role been?

The shadows were quite few, but the healthcare assistants I worked with were very patient with me. They took me through the process from scratch, and it helped me in becoming a better person today. Also, I have worked with quite a few colleagues who are still helpful today.

4. Thinking about the start of your journey working for First City, how would you describe the company?

First City is a company that think client (they go the extra mile to make sure their customers are comfortable and pleased with their service). I can say they are a customer-centric organisation. Although they bear in mind their staff too, by providing any kind of support that will be useful to their staff in delivering the best customer service. The different training they give their staff helps them to improve more and more.

5. Do you have any other comments you would like to share?

First City should keep up the good work and there is always room for improvement.
