The Workforce of The Future

First City are passionate about supporting the workforce of the future. Students of today are vital to the future of healthcare, aspiring to become carers, nurses and doctors. We are proud to share our experiences and knowledge of the industry with schools, colleges and universities in the community.

Our HR & Recruitment Team visit many establishments to discuss different career paths within the industry. Whether students wish to follow an academic route of university, the part of an apprenticeship or to head straight into employment after education, our team are on hand for advice! At First City we have colleagues who join us to fulfil a lifelong dream of becoming a care worker and make a difference to others; as well as colleagues who are studying further to become nurses or doctors and also individuals who had never considered healthcare as a career choice but stumbled into the industry and found where they belong!

This week on Wednesday 18th October, our team joined Lydiard Park Academy for their careers event to meet students across all year groups and discuss the various options available within the health and social care sector, and the different ways of joining the industry.
